The Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department is proud to be involved in the Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Detector Installation program.
Prince George’s County, Maryland residents can request a free smoke alarm and fire safety inspection by calling 311 and speaking with a live agent Monday through Friday, 7 AM–7 PM. After hours, residents can call (301) 864-SAFE (7233).
Eligibility
- Residents must be homeowners, not renters
- Residents must meet smoke alarm criteria, which includes proof of residency
Services
- The Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department will visit the home to install a free smoke alarm
- The department will also conduct a free Fire Safety Advisory Inspection
